Class Information
- You may park in the parking lot at the church. Enter from the lower level entrance on the left side of the building.
- Please arrive at class 5-10 minutes early. This gives you and your child the opportunity to get settled, chat with other families, take care of bathroom visits, etc. before class begins. And no child likes to miss the "Hello Song" so if you think you may be late, try singing it with them in the car!
- We don't wear shoes during class in order to keep the floor clean for little ones, so please wear or bring socks if you'd like.
- When you arrive at class, you may leave your shoes, diaper bags, etc. in the room to your left as you enter the back hallway. Class will be held in the room to your right.
- Please, no food or drinks, other than water, during class. Of course, babies/toddlers are welcome to nurse or bottle feed at any time!
- If you and your child need to step out of the room at any time during class, please feel free to do so. The restroom is located in the room just across the hall from where our class is held.
- Enjoy the time in class as a time to have fun and connect with your child! Your participation in class is essential to your child getting the most out of their class experience (regardless of your musical ability!). Try to refrain from spending time on your phone or having conversations with other parents during class. As a parent, I completely understand the need to talk with other adults and encourage you to do so before or after class.
- Any number of adults are welcome to attend class with your child: Mom, Dad, grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc. We are happy to have everyone join in on the musical fun! If an older sibling needs to attend for any reason, they are more than welcome, but please let me know ahead of time.
- Class cancellations due to inclement weather or teacher illness are at the discretion of the director. Closing notifications will be emailed as well as posted on social media. Always check your email if the weather is questionable! Every attempt will be made to reschedule classes cancelled due to weather or illness.
- Up to two make-up classes are permitted each session and must be used during the current session. Please contact us to make up a class.
- You will receive your family materials, songbook/CD and parent guide (for new families) at the first class. You will also receive an access code (on the inside cover of your book) for the Music Together app. Download the app in the App Store or on Google Play, enter the access code, create an account, and start singing! Be sure to download the app and enter your access code as soon as possible. The more you sing at home, the more your family will enjoy class each week.
*Note: The Music Together albums that can be found on Spotify, YouTube, etc. (Family Favorites, Family Favorites 2, and Lullabies) are NOT the same as the song collection we will be using in class. The current song collection is only available to families who are registered for this current session of classes (that's you!). Be sure to use the CD or Music Together app to listen specifically to the collection so that you and your child will become familiar with the songs we will sing in class.
